The Norwegian Club in Lithuania (DnK) has been active since 1997.  Due to the wishes of the members to take a more active part in giving something back to the needing in Lithuania, DnK was legally formed in 2003 in Vilnius, and was registered as a non-profit-making organisation for social welfare (”Viešoji Įstaiga Norvegu Klubas”, company no. 1008952, address: Saviciaus 11 - 57, 2001 Vilnius).  It is a private and independent organisation.

DnK’s activites can be divided as follows:

1. Charity.  See own sites DnK supports and Donations
   
2. Networking. DnK has regular meetings the first Tuesday of each month from 18 hrs (during July and August there are no meetings).  For the time being these meetings are held in Sektor Real Estate’s meeting room at Žemaitijos st.13/ Šiaulių g.10-57 in Vilnius. See map
   
3. Social activities. Celebration of the Norwegian Constitution day the 17^th May, Octoberfest/Høstfest, Norwegian Christmas table (Julebord), and other ad hoc gathering. Read more. 

DnK finances its projects with contributions made by private individuals and donations from businesses. 100 % of donations received have been and will continue to be invested directly in projects for the support of disadvantaged children. Administrative costs are covered entirely by personal contributions.  Financial audits are done of the accounts of DnK in accordance with DnK's fundamental principle to guarantee every supporter transparent and coherent information about its activities.
